Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

This policy explains what PTF Production (“we”, “us”) actually collects and stores when you use this website and app — streaming (OTT), reels and short dramas, news posts, talent and audition submissions, and hiring/project requests. It describes only the data handling that is implemented in the platform today.

1. Who we are

PTF Production is a filmmaking and production company based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, operating this platform at ptfproduction.in.

Contact for privacy questions: PrabhuTheFilmmaker@gmail.com · +91 6299269798

Configuration note: a registered legal entity name, full postal address and a dedicated privacy/grievance contact are not stored anywhere in the application. Those values must be supplied before this policy is treated as a final legal document — nothing has been invented here.

Activity data

  • Product events (event name, related item, and an optional session identifier) recorded for platform analytics.

Security and technical data

  • Sign-in audit records: email, event type, IP address, browser/user-agent string and timestamp.
  • Administrative action logs (who changed what, with IP and user-agent) for staff accounts.
  • Standard server logs and error diagnostics produced while serving requests.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contact lists, or payment card numbers within this application.

3. Why we use this data

  • Creating your account, signing you in and keeping your session active.
  • Enforcing unique usernames and letting you reset your password.
  • Showing and managing your profile and talent profile.
  • Streaming films, episodes, reels and short dramas only to signed-in users, and resuming playback where you left off.
  • Receiving and reviewing audition submissions, and updating their status.
  • Delivering hiring/project requests between requesters and talent, and letting both sides track status.
  • Serving images and video through our media delivery layer at the right size and quality.
  • Keeping the platform secure, detecting and preventing abuse, and investigating incidents using sign-in and admin audit records.
  • Understanding what content performs well, so we can improve the catalogue and app performance.
  • Responding to you when you contact us.

4. Where your data is stored

Managed database & authentication (Supabase)

Accounts and credentials, profiles, talent profiles, audition submissions, project requests, posts, watch history, watchlists, notifications, analytics events and audit logs are stored in our managed Postgres database with row-level security policies that restrict each record to its owner or to authorised staff.

Cloudflare R2 object storage

Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2 and delivered through our CDN domain (cdn.ptfproduction.in): profile and cover photos, talent portfolio and audition photos, resume/attachment files, and platform-owned media such as posters, thumbnails, banners and the video files our own team publishes. Images are converted to optimised formats and multiple sizes so pages load faster.

Talent users do not upload audition video files to our storage. Audition video is provided as a YouTube link, which we store as a URL only.

Video and protected media are requested through our own authenticated streaming endpoint, so a signed-in session is required before playback begins.

5. Third-party services we use

  • Supabase — authentication (email/password, Google sign-in, password reset emails) and database hosting. Processes your email, credentials, session tokens and all stored application records.
  • Google (Sign-In / OAuth) — if you choose Google sign-in, Google verifies you and shares your basic account information (such as name, email and profile picture) with us. Your Google password is never seen by us.
  • Cloudflare (R2 + CDN) — stores and delivers uploaded and platform media files; processes the network requests needed to serve them.
  • YouTube / Google — when a YouTube audition or showreel link is viewed or embedded, YouTube receives the request directly from the viewer’s browser under Google’s own policies.
  • Hosting and deployment infrastructure — serves the application and produces standard request logs.

Analytics is handled inside our own database (see “Activity data”); we do not currently embed a third-party advertising or tracking network. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Public vs private information

Publicly visible on a talent profile

  • Stage name or full name, username, profession, bio.
  • Location, age, gender, height, languages, skills, experience, availability status.
  • Profile photo, cover photo and portfolio photos.
  • YouTube audition/showreel links and social links you add.

Never shown publicly

  • Mobile number, WhatsApp number and private email.
  • Preferred contact method.
  • Your audition submission details, its status and internal notes.
  • Hiring requests sent to or by you.

Public talent listings are served through a restricted read path that excludes private contact columns. Those fields are available to you on your own profile and to authorised PTF Production administrators for casting, audition review and hiring follow-up.

7. Content you submit

Photos, portfolio images, bios, audition details, posts and YouTube links you submit are stored and shown according to the public/private rules above. Only submit content you have the right to share, and do not submit other people’s personal information without their permission. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading or violates someone else’s rights.

8. Authentication and security

You can sign in with email and password or with Google. Passwords are handled entirely by Supabase Auth — this application never stores a password field in its own database, and password reset happens through an email link. Sessions are kept in your browser’s local storage by the authentication client, and requests to protected server functions carry a short-lived access token.

Access to data is restricted by row-level security policies, staff-only role checks for administrative areas, and authenticated, signed URLs for protected media. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no online service can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim absolute security or any specific certification.

9. Cookies and local storage

  • Authentication session data is stored in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in — this is essential to the service.
  • Short-lived tokens are used to authorise media streaming requests.
  • Cookies may be set by our hosting/CDN layer for delivery and security purposes.
  • Embedded YouTube content may set its own cookies under Google’s policies.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes locally stored session data.

10. When information is shared

  • With the service providers listed above, only as needed to run the platform.
  • With authorised PTF Production staff for audition review, casting and hiring workflows.
  • Between a requester and the talent they contact, limited to the details of that request.
  • Publicly, for the talent profile fields you choose to publish.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or PTF Production.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

11. How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as your account is active and as long as necessary for the purposes described here — operating the platform, handling auditions and hiring, and maintaining security records. The application does not define fixed automatic deletion periods; data is removed when it is no longer needed for those purposes or when you delete your account, subject to the exception below.

12. Account deletion

Deleting your account from Profile → Account Settings is permanent, not a hidden deactivation. When you confirm deletion, the platform:

  • deletes your uploaded profile photo from object storage;
  • deletes your watch history, watchlist, likes, notifications, comments, saved items and role assignments;
  • deletes your authentication account, which also removes your profile and directly linked records that cascade with it;
  • detaches your identifier from records that must remain for operational or accounting reasons (for example payment records, published posts and audit logs), which are no longer linked to your account.

Audition submissions and related attachments are retained as production/casting records. If you want those removed as well, contact us at PrabhuTheFilmmaker@gmail.com. Deletion cannot be undone and we cannot restore the account afterwards.

13. Your controls

  • View and edit your profile and talent profile at any time from the Profile screen.
  • Add, replace or remove profile, cover and portfolio photos.
  • Toggle your availability, or keep your talent profile unpublished by not creating one.
  • Track and manage audition submissions and hiring requests you sent or received.
  • Reset your password by email, sign out, and permanently delete your account.
  • Ask us about your data by writing to the contact address above.

14. Age of users

The application does not currently enforce a minimum age at sign-up, and no age gate is implemented. The audition form collects a date of birth for casting purposes only. A formal minimum-age policy and any required parental-consent flow are still to be decided and configured by PTF Production — we have not stated an age limit here that the platform does not actually enforce.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be reflected here.
